More Details
“Nadopasana” means devotion or worship (upasana) through music (nada). Great composers of Carnatic music, such as Thyagaraja, Muthuswami Dikshithar, Shyama Sastri, Purandaradasa, Annamacharya, to name a few, were devout practitioners of Nadopasana. The tradition passed along by them has led many musicians, composers and teachers to revere music as the way of devotion to God.
